3D Eyelash Extensions

From false lashes to eyelash extensions! On my recent trip to Hong Kong I saw a deal on Groupon for 3D eyelash extensions, it was only $88HKD much cheaper than UK so I decided to give this a go. I have only ever had cluster extensions before so having individual extensions was something new to me.

I must say my whole Groupon experience in Hong Kong was amazing, I love how they have a concept store so you can buy something and collect in store for free! Definately recommend even if you are just visiting, I paid with my debit card online and my bank it just converted the amount. However if it something that needs an appointment I do suggest that you make sure to make an appointment at the earliest opportunity even if it is 3/4 months away! I bought one for a hair cut and perm and I lost that thinking that since its so far away I can book later, a month before I was going to go there were no appointments for 2 months!

The place that I went to, I don't think I am going to name because I didn't have the best experience that I was expecting, it was more of a budget place and the lady who was also doing the eye treatment on my sister was literally trying to sell us something every minute! It was in a good location in Causeway Bay though. Apparently the lady who usually does the extensions was not available too so we ended up getting someone else who wasn't a professional but had been trained but the rest of the experience was pleasant.

We got taken into the treatment room and we were given a choice of 2 different types of lashes, synthetic and human hair (at an additional cost). I took the synthetic option because I thought since I wear my dollywink everyday, it shouldn't feel that much different. The 3D bit of the extension is just that they stick it in different layers on your eyelid as opposed to sticking it directly to your existing lashes, nothing that much more exciting I'm afraid.

Let's take a look at some pictures of the final result!

Personally, I hated this considering I am used to wearing false lashes. I have a friend who gets them all the time and she doesn't feel them at all whereas these were really hard and if I were to lift the lashes up to tightline, the eyelash extension would poke so hard into my eyelid, it felt so uncomfortable. If you look carefully at the last picture, you will be able to see large clumps of glue... I've seen many different people's and it was nice but both my experiences of getting extensions have not been good so I think I may stick with my beloved Dolly Wink's!
